Within the tourism industry specifically — cruise staff, licensed guides, hotel staff, and most tourist-facing shops — English is commonly spoken, often well. Outside tourist contexts (smaller local shops, taxi drivers away from tourist hubs), English becomes less reliable, though pointing, numbers, and basic goodwill generally get you through.
A Few Useful Arabic Words
