How far is Siwa?
Around nine to ten hours by road from Cairo, via the Mediterranean coast. There is no regular scheduled flight, so days one and four are travel days.
What will we see?
The mud-brick ruins of Shali, the Temple of the Oracle where Alexander the Great came for answers, the Mountain of the Dead, Cleopatra's Spring and sunset at Fatnas.
What about the desert?
A 4×4 afternoon in the dunes of the Great Sand Sea, with a stop at a hot spring.
