Is this worth it if you have already seen Giza?
Yes. Saqqara and Dahshur are older than Giza and show how the pyramid shape was worked out, from the stepped design of Djoser to the bent angle and finally the smooth sides of the Red Pyramid.
What do you see at each stop?
At Saqqara, the Step Pyramid and its enclosure, plus an Old Kingdom tomb where open. At Memphis, the fallen colossus of Ramesses II and the alabaster sphinx. At Dahshur, the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid.
How busy is it?
Much quieter than Giza. Dahshur in particular often has very few visitors.
