What does this tour cover?
The three Giza pyramids and the panorama point, the Sphinx and the Valley Temple of Khafre, then the Grand Egyptian Museum, which stands about two kilometres from the plateau.
Why see them on the same day?
Because they are so close together. You see the monuments in the cool of the morning and then the objects that came from tombs like them, including the Tutankhamun collection, once the day heats up.
How long do you spend in the museum?
Plan on two to three hours. The Grand Staircase and the Tutankhamun galleries alone can fill most of that.
Is it worth doing before a Nile cruise?
Yes. Most Nile cruises sail between Luxor and Aswan and do not include Cairo, so this is the usual way to add the Pyramids to a cruise holiday.
