MS Monte Carlo puts junior suites at a standard price
This is an unusual configuration for the tier. The Monte Carlo lists 66 junior suites and 2 superior suites at a starting rate of $469 per person, which is almost exactly the standard average of $468. Elsewhere in the catalog a suite category generally means paying deluxe or luxury money.
Read the word junior carefully. It signals a larger-than-standard room rather than a separate living area, and the catalog does not publish floor areas for standard ships, so ask us for the deck plan and the actual dimensions before you treat it as an upgrade.
Facilities are restaurant, sun deck, lounge and reception, pool listed as available rather than confirmed. It sails Luxor to Aswan via Edfu and Kom Ombo, four or three nights.

Cruise FAQ
What cabin types does MS Monte Carlo have?
The ship is laid out as 66 junior suites and 2 superior suites, so the entry-level cabin is already a junior suite. That is unusual at this price point, where most standard ships offer plain twin cabins.
Is a junior suite worth it on a 4-night cruise?
On the Nile, more than elsewhere. You spend real hours in the cabin during sailing stretches, so the extra floor space and a proper seating area get used rather than wasted.
Which way does it sail?
Luxor to Aswan, southbound. Karnak and Luxor Temple on day one, the Valley of the Kings on day two, then Edfu and Kom Ombo, finishing at Philae in Aswan.
What does it cost across the seasons?
Rates step up through the year: lowest from June to August, a little higher in the May and September shoulder months, higher again in the October to April high season, with Easter and the Christmas and New Year sailings the most expensive dates of all. Send us your dates and we will confirm the exact figure.
Can I add Abu Simbel?
Yes. It is added at the Aswan end, either as a dawn road convoy of about three hours each way, or as a short flight. Tell us your dates and we will price both.
What is included on board?
Full-board meals, guided shore excursions, entrance fees to the scheduled temples, and port taxes. Drinks beyond water, tips and personal spending are not.
